古代アンデスの歴史を伝える貴重な文化財を所蔵する「マンタ国立博物館・文化センター」。
エクアドル共和国もまた日本同様「環太平洋地震帯」に位置する地震多発国であり、2016年4月にマンタ沖で発生したエクアドル地震（M7.8）では、マナビ県の国立博物館2か所を含む広範囲に渡る地域が甚大な被害を受けました。
かねてから懸案事項となっていた「マンタ国立博物館」および「オハス・ハボンシーリョ考古学博物館（Complejo Arqueológico Hojas Jaboncillo）」の文化財の防災対策について、日本政府の支援事業として取り組むことが決定し、免震装置ミューソレーター™が採用されました。

Museo Centro Cultural MANTA houses valuable cultural properties that tell the history of the ancient Andes.
Like Japan, Ecuador is a major earthquake country located in the Pacific Rim earthquake belt. In April 2016, the Ecuadorian earthquake (magnitude 7.8) off the coast of Manta caused extensive damage to a large area, including 2 national museums in Manavi province.
The disaster prevention measures for the cultural properties of “Museo Centro Cultural MANTA” and “Complejo Arqueológico Hojas Jaboncillo”, which had long been a concern, were decided to be implemented as a project supported by the Japanese government, and a seismic isolation device “μ-Solator™” was adopted.
地球のほぼ真裏に位置するエクアドル共和国までは、日本から飛行機でおよそ18～20時間を要します。迅速さが求められる地震発生後の対応などを考慮し、現地事業者への指導も含めた施工を実施しました。

It takes about 18~20 hours to fly from Japan to the Republic of Ecuador, which is located almost directly behind the earth. In consideration of the swift response to an earthquake, we implemented construction including guidance to local operators.
■工事概要： 展示ケース免震化工事（ミューソレーター敷設工事／稼働中施設への後施工）
■施工範囲： 展示ケース25台（マンタ国立博物館：23台、オハス・ハボンシーリョ考古学博物館：2台）、現地事業者への施工・トラブルシューティング指導
